Skilled hands, enduring materials and the satisfaction of making well.

Blacktail Studio

I’m Cam, the owner of Blacktail Studio. I started woodworking in 2016 as a hobby. Eventually I realized my hobby was expensive, so I tried selling some items to sustain it. Then I thought I might be able to help find customers if I made a video or two on the process. So in 2018 I launched my YouTube channel.

This led to that, and in 2020 I quit my job to do this woodworking youtuber thing full time. Best decision I ever made though, I hope you enjoy following along!

Clickspring

I'm Chris from Clickspring, and I create videos on the Art of Clock and Watchmaking.

Engels Coach Shop

Welcome to the world's largest video library dedicated to preserving the wheelwright and wainwright trade. Restoring horse-drawn vehicles of the American West.

45 years of blacksmithing, wood working, steam bending wood, wheelwright, paint and striping, upholstery; this channel shares some of the daily workings of a modern carriage shop, building traditional style carriages, coaches and wagons. New video every Tuesday and Friday. Thanks for your interest.

I'm often asked where I get some of my tools and supplies so I decided to sign up as an Amazon Affiliate and share these things.

We also now have a new Merch store listed below!

If you decide to use this resource it gives a little referral commission which helps support these videos. I hope it is useful. Thank you.

Epic Upcycling

Hi, I'm Jason, and my channel is all about making things out of junk. Most of the materials I use in my videos were discarded, or thrown away, destined for landfill, or the bonfire. These videos are not meant as tutorials, they are just to show the way I do things. I hope they will in some way entertain, and maybe help everyone to see the beauty and usefulness of every piece of scrap out there. Happy UpCycling :)

Florian Gadsby

Florian Gadsby is a ceramicist working with stoneware and porcelain in North London — here you'll find videos that show process, how pottery is thrown and finished and finally glazed and kiln fired. The videos here show the processes behind his work, such as the throwing and trimming of tableware and more sculptural pieces.

For more regular posts, including daily photographs and videos, make sure to follow over on my Instagram: (www.instagram.com/floriangadsby).

I restock my online shop around 3/4 times a year, with about 300-400 pieces a time, if you'd like to receive a newsletter about when these go live you can sign up to my newsletter on my website, (https://www.floriangadsby.com/newsletter).

I also leave the shop page online, even though it appears as sold out, it usually sells out in a few minutes time, just to give you an idea of what's available and the price range, (https://www.floriangadsby.com/shop).

If there's anything else you'd like to know, please do get in touch!

Architecture at a small scale expressed through woodworking and film making.

Disclaimer: My videos here are for entertainment, to share what I do, and to maybe provide some inspiration. Woodworking can be dangerous if all safety precautions are not taken. Please don't try anything I am doing just because you saw me doing it. Understand that there are years of learning and experimentation by me that are not in the videos. You can have a safe, enjoyable, and even inspirational time in your shop by understanding your own tools, materials, and your own skill level.

Anne of All Trades

Everything is "figureoutable." Subscribe to this channel and get a better roadmap towards living the deeply rooted, intentional life you're after.

Whether you've got the knowledge, tools, time or space to do the things you've always wanted to do, I'll help you use what you've got to start building that life right now.

I became "Anne of All Trades" out of necessity. 10 years ago I got my first animal, planted my first seed and picked up my first tool. A former city gal with no background in farming or making things, I wanted to learn to raise my own food, fix things when they broke, and build the things I needed. Today, I travel the country teaching, permaculture farming, building and sustainability techniques I've learned by trying, failing, and repeating. A lot can change in a decade, and your new chapter starts now.

Rewilding Jude

In 2023 I was in a rut. I was burnt out, exhausted and grieving the death of my parents. In 2024 I knew something had to change, so I closed my business, sold my house and moved to an old stone cottage in the middle of the Scottish countryside. Join me as I attempt to renovate the cottage (and attached barn), build a back yard homestead on less than an acre, and fall in love with life, all over again.

The Repair Shop

The Repair Shop' is a workshop of dreams where broken or damaged cherised family heirlooms are brought back to life. Furniture restorers, horologists, metal workers, ceramicists, upholsterers and all manner of skilled craftsmen and women have been brought together in one extraordinary space to restore much loved possessions to their former glory. Many of these items have incredible stories behind them and a unique place in history: from an accordian played in the Blitz by a woman who's now in her nineties, to a beautifully crafted clock made by a father who was completely blind. 'The Repair Shop' is an antidote to the throwaway culture and shines a light on the wonderful treasures to be found in homes across the country.
