Sherwood Gardens
This free Baltimore garden is celebrated for spring tulips but is open year-round as a quiet, residential green space.

Artwork inspired by Francis Guy
Sherwood Gardens is not a ticketed conservatory. It is a neighborhood garden laid out in broad, low beds that become a sweep of tulip color in spring. The open lawns and surrounding houses are part of its identity: visitors move through a public green space embedded in the Guilford neighborhood rather than between indoor displays or formal glasshouses.
Come at peak bloom for the floral view, but do not expect a fixed date; weather shifts the season. Outside spring, the garden is still a calm place to walk and watch plantings change. Entry is free dawn to dusk, and visitors should respect residential parking limits, leash dogs, and take litter with them. Two-hour street parking is the practical arrival plan.
