Pittsburgh Zoo & Aquarium
Move from wooded animal habitats into a remarkable, family-friendly aquatic world.

Artwork inspired by Andy Warhol
The Pittsburgh Zoo pairs a hillside zoological park with a full aquarium, so one admission can move from African animals and forest habitats into underwater exhibits. The change of scale is its strength: notice how a giraffe's browsing, an elephant's movement, and a sea lion's swimming demand completely different environments and care. The park's sloping terrain also means it feels larger than a flat map suggests.
The aquarium is a useful indoor pause on a hot or wet day, but do not leave it until the final minutes: animal buildings may close before the park gates. Begin with a rough route and leave room for feeding or keeper talks. The Baker Street entrance has free parking, while admission prices and hours change seasonally.
