Loveland Living Planet Aquarium
Large aquatic habitats connect global ecosystems with Utah’s rivers and lakes inside a distinctive campus anchored by the recycled EECO structure.

Artwork inspired by Anna Campbell Bliss
The aquarium ranges from Ocean Explorer and Journey to South America to Antarctic and Utah habitats. Its most useful thread is adaptation: compare buoyancy, respiration, camouflage, locomotion, and social behavior across environments rather than treating sharks, penguins, and rainforest animals as separate spectacles.
Begin with the Utah gallery before the larger ocean displays to establish how a dry state depends on connected watersheds. Timed programs, feeding, and animal-care talks add context, while popular tunnels and touch experiences are calmer near opening.

Good to know
Online timed tickets help on weekends and school breaks. The building is sensory-dense, with dark galleries, reflections, crowd noise, and sudden sound; ask about quiet resources and re-entry before beginning.
