Indian Pueblo Cultural Center
New Mexico’s nineteen Pueblos present their own histories, art, foodways, language, dance, and contemporary life in a cultural center owned collectively by the Pueblo communities.

Artwork inspired by Awa Tsireh
The permanent exhibition begins from Pueblo continuity rather than European arrival. Origins, agriculture, architecture, trade, colonial violence, sovereignty, and contemporary creativity are interpreted through the collective and distinct experiences of New Mexico’s nineteen Pueblos. Listen for differences among communities instead of collapsing Pueblo into one culture.
The campus extends beyond museum cases. Murals, rotating Native art exhibitions, artist demonstrations, dances on scheduled weekends, the Pueblo Harvest restaurant, and a teaching kitchen make culture present-tense. Dance is public when offered, but it is not a performance staged for unrestricted recording; follow announcements and photography rules exactly.
