Hidden Lake Gardens
Hundreds of acres hold an arboretum, conservatory, bonsai collection, hosta hillside, forest, meadows, trails, and small lakes in Michigan’s Irish Hills.

Artwork inspired by Mathias Alten
This is a landscape-scale public garden rather than a compact sequence of beds. Collections emerge through drives and walks across glacial topography, while natural areas make succession, invasive species, storm damage, and long-term horticultural management visible.
Use the visitor center to choose a realistic combination of conservatory, named collection, and trail. Distances between highlights are substantial, and the Sky Walk, conservatory, events, or weather may have access rules distinct from the open grounds.
