Goddard Memorial State Park
Specimen trees, open lawns, bridle paths, a small beach, golf, and saltwater views preserve layers of a former Warwick estate.

Artwork inspired by Charles Walter Stetson
Goddard is both recreation park and designed landscape. Broad fields and mature ornamental trees reflect the Goddard family estate, while bridle trails, a public beach, picnic groves, and golf spread activity across a varied shoreline property rather than one central attraction.
Use the official map because road loops and equestrian trails do not all connect as expected. Beach staffing is seasonal, horses have right-of-way considerations, and wedding or picnic reservations can occupy prominent lawns. Shoreline water quality and tides change swimming conditions. Tree spacing and long views still make parts of the property read as an estate composition rather than ordinary recreation ground.

Good to know
The small beach is not an ocean-surf beach, and the golf course is a separate paid operation. Large private gatherings can alter parking and quiet areas.
