Forest Park
A vast urban park combining free cultural institutions, restored waterways, trails, sports, memorials, and layers of 1904 World’s Fair history.

Artwork inspired by Frederick Oakes Sylvester
Forest Park is not one attraction: it contains the Saint Louis Art Museum, Saint Louis Zoo, Missouri History Museum, The Muny, waterways, golf, skating, fields, woods, and miles of paths. A first visit needs a destination, not just “go to the park.”
Use the park map and choose one or two anchors, then connect them by foot or bike. Parking and traffic change dramatically with zoo crowds, festivals, theater nights, and summer weekends; quieter natural areas sit west and south of the busiest institutions.
