Lowcountry Boil
Lowcountry boil with shrimp, smoked sausage, corn, potatoes, lemon, seafood seasoning, and melted butter.

- 2 lb smoked sausage, cut into 2-inch pieces
- 3 lb shell-on large shrimp
- 6 qt water
- 1/2 cup seafood boil seasoning
- 1/4 cup kosher salt
- 2 lemons, halved
- 2 bay leaves
- 2 lb small red potatoes
- 6 ears corn, halved
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
Directions
Boil and Serve
- Bring water, seafood boil seasoning, kosher salt, lemon, and bay leaf to a rolling boil in a large stockpot.
- Add small red potatoes and cook until just beginning to soften, about 12 minutes.
- Add smoked sausage and cook for 5 minutes.
- Add fresh corn and cook for 5 minutes.
- Add shrimp and cook until pearly, opaque, and {{temperature:145°F}} in the thickest pieces, 2-3 minutes.
- Drain, discard bay leaf, and spread on a table or platter. Drizzle with unsalted butter.
